This is a great book for begginners April 8, 2009 Christopher B. Anderson (Oregon) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I read this book in under a day. It is about 170 pages and Negreanu does a great job of talking to you about strategy and why it works, not at you. I play poker for at least four hours a day, and thought I would read his book just to see what he says, and I strongly agree with how he explains things and why. I recomend this book to any one, pro, or novice.
hold'em October 17, 2009 Juston Wickham I am a huge Negreanu fan and this book is just as good as the first one. I highly recommend it!
Breaks the mold! July 20, 2010 JBender Interesting tips from one of the world's best hold 'em players. This book breaks some of the myths from what you see on tv poker.
A second compilation of invaluable advice and insightful tips on this popular poker game from a four time champion November 9, 2008 Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) 2 out of 15 found this review helpful
Daniel Negreanu (aka 'Kid Poker) is one of the most well known professional poker players working the big cash games and the poker tournaments today. Known as a game that can be learned in minutes but only mastered with a life time of play, and the single most popular poker game today, Texas Hold'Em is a poker game with a veritable laundry list of skills to master. Whether amateurs or professionals, the players are looking for anything they can to give them an edge on their opponents and the prospect of winning their money. "More Hold'Em Wisdom for All Players" is a second compilation of invaluable advice and insightful tips on this popular poker game from a four time champion and 2004 player of the year in Daniel Negreanu. Fifty lessons with explanations on why they work and how to use them are packed within its pages and certain to improve anyone's poker game by a good margin. "More Hold'Em Wisdom for All Players" would be worthy reading for any poker enthusiast and an essential addition to the personal reference library for anyone sitting down to a game of Texas Hold'Em.
Easy read that still makes you think as you go. January 19, 2009 James L. Groot 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book might not be all that meaningful to a really advanced player. In my case, since I am still learning, I found that it helped me reflect on a variety of situations.
